Report on Seminar for International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women On 15 November 2024, Paramekkavu College of Arts and Science, Thrissur, hosted a seminar in observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The event, organized by the Women’s Development Cell (WDC), aimed to raise awareness and promote discussions about combating violence against women.The seminar was inaugurated by Smt. Sripriya, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the City Police Women Cell, Thrissur. The event was presided over by Dr. Capt. Suseela Menon R, Principal of the college, who emphasized the importance of educational institutions in fostering gender sensitivity and empowering young women to assert their rights. Bindu AB, Coordinator of the Women’s Development Cell, warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty, and students to the event.
