Scholarship and Support Policy

Purpose: To provide financial assistance and support to students who demonstrate financial need, academic excellence, and excellence in extracurricular activities. Categorization of Students: Financial Need Category: Students who demonstrate financial constraints and require assistance to pursue their education. Academic Excellence Category: Students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and achievements. Extracurricular Excellence Category: Students who demonstrate exceptional talent and achievements in extracurricular activities such as sports, arts, and cultural events. Eligibility Criteria: Financial Need Category: Family income below a certain threshold (to be determined by the college) Students who have lost a parent or guardian Students with disabilities Academic Excellence Category: High academic achievers (top 10% of the class) Students who have secured top ranks in university exams Students who have published research papers or presented at conferences Extracurricular Excellence Category: Students who have represented the college or university in state or national level competitions Students who have won awards or recognition in extracurricular activities Benefits: Financial Need Category: Full or partial fee waiver Assistance with living expenses Access to free textbooks and resources Academic Excellence Category: Merit-based scholarships Opportunities for internships and mentorship Extracurricular Excellence Category: Special recognition and awards Funding for participation in competitions and events Opportunities for leadership roles and mentorship Selection Process: Applications will be invited from students who meet the eligibility criteria. A committee will review applications and select students based on their qualifications and achievements. Students will be notified of their selection and benefits. Monitoring and Evaluation: The college will monitor the progress of students who receive benefits. Students will be required to maintain a minimum academic performance and participate in extracurricular activities. The policy will be reviewed and updated annually to ensure its effectiveness and fairness.
