About Department
The history of language department of any college starts from the inauguration of the institution itself. In that way, the history of Malayalam department starts from 2013.The department has actively been taking classes in collaboration with various courses with other departments namely BSc, BCom, BBA, CA, BCA and BA. Every academic year, the department has produced good academic result.
Activities
The students are encouraged to participate in different programs and competitions in and outside the campus conducted by different departments of various colleges.
Objectives
The Malayalam Department focuses on the study of the Malayalam language, literature, and culture. It offers courses in classical and modern Malayalam literature, linguistics, poetry, drama, and prose. The department aims to promote the understanding and appreciation of Malayalam through academic and creative activities, fostering research in various aspects of the language. It also engages in preserving and promoting Kerala's cultural heritage, contributing to the development of Malayalam as both an academic subject and a living language.
